Orbital Research will present their new research on the role of receive-chain linearity in next-generation Earth Observation ground stations at the Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah. While the importance of linearity in transmit chains is well understood, new multi-orbit Earth stations and the high dynamic signal variations seen with LEO satellites mean that receive-chain linearity is now equally critical. On Tuesday, August 12, Orbital’s VP of Engineering and Operations, Eric Guetre will present “The Importance of Linearity in Earth Observation Receive Chains.” The talk features Orbital’s analysis and experimental results quantifying how overdriving the receive chain impacts Error Vector Magnitude (EVM)—and by extension, Bit Error Rate (BER)—in high-performance EO systems.
Hope to see you at our booth so we can share Orbital’s new products and discuss how they can be used in your upcoming missions.
