Orbital Research Selected for Canadian Space Development Initiative

Burnaby, BC – March 10, 2025 – Orbital Research, a leader in high-performance satellite communications technology, is proud to announce their participation in the Canadian Space Agency's Strategic Space Technology Development Program (STDP).

“This initiative supports innovative companies like ours to drive growth and potential in this sector,” says Orbital CEO Ian McEachern. “We are honoured to be selected for two projects that will contribute to advancements in space.”

Only 16 companies were chosen to participate. In the “Advanced Technologies” category, Orbital will be given the opportunity to further develop industry leading K-Band up/down converters (UDCs).
