Orbital’s Ka-band Up/Down Converter (UDC) combines both uplink and downlink frequency conversion in a single, compact, space-qualified module. Designed for CubeSat and SmallSat platforms, this dual-function converter supports compact. high-throughput systems and simplifies payload architecture.
Designed for Software-Defined Radio (SDR) systems, the UDC features software-configurable frequency plans for both uplink and downlink, with the ability to reconfigure in orbit. This flexibility supports changing mission objectives and enables efficient use of increasingly dynamic Ka-band spectrum allocations.
Available in both radiation-hardened and COTS space-ready configurations, the UDC is fully tested for RF performance, mechanical, radiation exposure, environmental durability, and thermal vacuum (TVAC) tests when specified.
