Orbital’s X-band Up/Down Converter (UDC) combines both uplink and downlink frequency conversion in a single, compact, space-qualified module. Designed for CubeSat and SmallSat platforms, this dual-function converter simplifies payload integration while maximizing flexibility and performance.
Ideal for Software-Defined Radio (SDR) systems, the UDC supports software-defined frequency tuning and in-orbit reconfiguration, enabling real-time adaptation to changing mission parameters or spectrum environments. This streamlined, software-defined approach reduces hardware complexity and enhances long-term platform agility.
Available in both radiation-hardened and COTS space-ready configurations, the UDC is fully tested for RF performance, radiation exposure, environmental durability, and thermal vacuum cycling when required.
